This fall’s color trend forecast is rich with soft saturated colors and restful neutrals that pair well with existing interior fashions. “Many of the colors on our Fall Color Palette can be easily used with existing colors found in furniture and fabrics”, explains Sandy Agar-Studelska, Colorist with Diamond Vogel Paint and a member of the Color Marketing Group. “With everyone watching their budget, selecting updated paint colors that coordinate with existing furniture and décor is important and helps update a room without spending a lot.”
There are two important trends in interior colors being seen today. One trend is to more muted, earthy and saturated colors. These colors are peaceful and respectful of the simpler lifestyle that many of us are looking for. The neutrals are a compromise between browns and grays, and can be used easily with warm or cool colors. We also continue to see bright oranges, teals, blues and yellow-greens used in decor, but all have been muted slightly to add a calming, but optimistic punch. Our colors choices are reacting to the uncertainty in our lives, and we are looking for ways to be upbeat. These lively accent colors are easy to use and can add a fresh perspective to a room.”
